Some quick hits to go with your Friday morning Israeli Vegetable Salad*:
1) Jon Niese with the one hit, complete game shut out for the win!
2) The Mets are back to being tied for second in the division with the Phillies as both teams are 2.5 games back behind the Braves.
3) The Twins have now joined the Players Signature Series, so that means I have a lot more articles to write.
4) Odds are very good that the Mets will not be seeing the Indians super prospect Matt LaPorta (3 HR last night) as he won't be called until the Indians trade Kearns or Branyan (in order to make sure LaPorta actually has a spot to play everyday).
*I've been to Israel, this is in fact breakfast, and its quite good
