Some quick hits to go with your Sunday Morning bowl of Lucky Charms:
1) The Mets winning steak ended yesterday. Just like in the day before where two fantastic defensive plays were made, in yesterday's game, two big plays could not be made, which then lead to a 6 run inning and a rout of the Mets.
2) Although standings mean nothing right now, yesterday's loss places the Phillies 0.5 games back and the Nationals 1.0 games back. Florida is at .500 record sitting 2.0 games back and the Braves are 4.0 games back.
3) Break up the Orioles! They won back to back games and now have their first winning series on the year and increased their winning percentage to .250.
4) Going back to Baltimore for again, the Red Sox and the Orioles hit a combined 9 homers in that game. Growing up around Bmore, I am familiar with Camden Yards and although a good amount of homers can be hit there, 9 homers is crazy. Ty Wigginton hit 2 more, making his season total 8 (Crazy, right?)
