The Mets were able to sneak out of St. Louis last night with a series win in a crucial set with the Cardinals and now they come home to start a series against the Phillies, one they have to win in order to have a shot at the playoffs (any series at this point is a must win at this point).

The Mets bats will get a crack at Adam Morgan who is 1-7 over 16 games, 14 starts and 75.1 innings with an ERA of 6.21. Since returning in mid-August, he’s had a bad start and then a good outing: 2 ER over 3.0 innings and then 1 ER over 6.0 innings.
