The Mets and Padres play game two tonight at Citi Field after the Mets took the opener of the series thanks to some strong pitching from Colon and a 4-4 night from Abreu. Wheeler will be getting the start on Firefighter night (fans with certain tickets can get a Wheeler bobblehead) and on 50 Cent night. So far this season Wheeler is 2-6 with a 4.19 ERA over 73.0 innings of work. His last start against the Giants was the shortest of the season as he pitched 3.2 innings allowing 6 hits and 4 ER, still striking out 6. Before that he had a streak of three games in a row where he allowed 2 ER or less. Last year he made one start against the Padres where he allowed one run and 7 hits over 6 innings of work.
