It seems that the Mets front office is sick of the last 4 weeks of play. Well actually, sick might be too strong of a word, because if they were, they would have made some other moves earlier this season. Anyway all signs (via Metsblog) are pointing that the Mets are up to something, although the all of the stories seem to have conflicting views of what is actually going to happen:
1) Francoeur has cleared waivers
2) Hessman, Perez, Castillo, J Feliciano have all been placed on waivers
3) NO Trades at this point seem imminent (aka the first two points don't mean anything, maybe)
4) The Mets are going to solve their problems internally by calling up Tejada and Fmart. They both have been removed from the lineup tonight.
5) The Mets are not going to DFA Castillo, which makes step 4 seem diffiicult.

At this point in the season, youth movement is looking necessary in order to start a new thinking mode for next season, but if they don't get rid of Castillo, than this could be a waste of time. We'll see what happens.
More on this topic later if we can actually figure out what the Amazin's are up to.
