Which Sports News Is Harder To Listen To…

Its August! That means two things!

Brett Farve!
Baseball Players on the Waiver Wire!

I was trying to think last night, which one of these news stories can I stand listening to, and I guess I would lean towards Baseball Players on the Waiver Wire, but it was close. The reason that I don't particularly care about when players go on the wire is that, well hundreds of players go on the wire. Its really not news. For example, the news about Dunn on the wire, not news. Any baseball exec/player/informed fan could have told you he was going on the wire.

Dunn on the wire will actually become news if a claim goes through and the Nationals start negotiating a deal. The chances of that happening are rather slim, however if that does happen, then well I'm listening to that story. Most likely what will happen is that he will be pulled off the wire. So media outlets, instead of covering every star that ends up on the wire like its life changing news, lets not do that, because its going to happen.

I'm not going to comment about the media coverage of Farve, especially since I wrote a joke article about this morning.
