The Israeli baseball League concluded their season recently.
If you didnt know about the league alltogether, here are some quick notes:
There are 6 teams that make up the league, the vast majority of the league have players that are not from Israel. The league is on the same level as a Single A ball club (I believe some where inbetween A and A advanced). (So in Mets terms between Savanah and Port St Lucie). There are three managers that played baseball in the states. Including Ken Holtzman, Ron Bloomberg (the first DH, and a New York Yankee) and Art Shamsky (1969 NYM).
In the finals, it was the Bet Shemesh Blue Sox (managed by Bloomberg), who defeated the Modim Miracle (managed by Art Shamsky). The score was 3-0.
