Game Preview: Mets @ Marlins

The Mets start a three game set with the Marlins tonight. The last series was underwhelming after the Mets dropped two of three to the Cubs and now they head to Miami against a rising Marlins squad. Starting things off for the Amazin’s will be Logan Verrett, who is 3-6 over 25 games and 7 starts this year with a 4.21 ERA over 62.0 innings of work. His last start in Philly was his first solid one in a while where he allowed 2 ER over 6.0 innings while striking out 4. In 8.0 innings of work against the Marlins this year, including a start, Logan has tossed 8.0 scoreless innings. The Marlins have the following numbers against him:

  • Yelich 2-6, 2B
  • Prado 0-5
  • Realmuto 2-5
  • Suzuki 1-4, 2B
  • Rojas 1-3
  • Stanton 0-3
  • Dietrich 1-3

The Mets bats will get a look at Adam Conley who is 6-5 over 19 starts and 104.2 innings with a 3.61 ERA. Three of his last four starts have been average to below average (with one good one mixed in). In those last four starts he has posted a 3.80 ERA over 21.1 innings of work. His second start of the season was against the Mets where he held the Amazin’s to 4 hits and no runs over 6.0 innings while striking out 9 in a game the Mets eventually won 2-1. The Mets have the following numbers against Adam:
