Some quick hits to go with your Sunday morning Orange Gatorade:
1) The Mets had an all around great game yesterday. They had a great start out of Niese who allowed one run over 7 innings, Ike Davis had a 4-4 day at the plate and David Wright went 2-3, 3 RBI's including a 2 run home run bomb down the left field line. It was an absolute bomb.
2) The Phillies have joined in the ridiculous party of Player Signature Choice Designed Jerseys. More on this later in the week.
3) In case you missed it, the Mets placed Perez in purgatory by putting him on the DL. Meaning they just shelved their problem.
4) The Braves and Phillies both won yesterday, so no standing movements yesterday.
