Game Preview: Cubs vs Mets

The Mets and Cubs start a series tonight as the Mets look to bounce back from dropping two games against the Braves yesterday. There weren't too many positives about yesterday, outside of Jason Bay hitting a grand slam. Tonight, Mike Pelfrey will take on Casey Coleman.

Pelfrey is 7-11 this season with a 4.68 ERA. His last two starts have been fairly rough as he has allowed 10.2 innings allowing a total of 7 earned runs. The last time he faced the Cubs was last year as he pitched 7.0 innings against them allowing no runs while walking three and striking out six. The Cubs have the following numbers against Big Pelf:

Ramirez 0-6

DeWitt 3-5, 3B

Pena 0-3

Coleman gets the start against the Mets today. He is 2-7 on the season with a 6.61 ERA. Since returning in August, he has pitched 21.2 innings with a 5.40 ERA. In his start against the Mets this season, he lasted 1.1 innings allowing 6 earned runs on 7 hits. The Mets have the following numbers against Coleman:
