There’s been a lot of hope with upcoming talent. History has proven it’s a crapshoot at best. I hope that scouting can bring promising talent in, but player development is also key. My suggestion is to bring really good coaching talent in with skills to bring these players to the level of their potential and treat them like gold.
Mike Martin (FSU) and Chad Kreuter (USC) I think would be candidates for this. Where’s Jon Olerud when you need him?
