Game Preview: Mets @ Cubs

The Mets squeaked away with a win last night walking right up to the edge (literally walking). After squeezing out a second run, a go-ahead run, the Mets took a 2-1 lead to the bottom of the 9th. Familia proceeded to walk the first two batters and then Reyes made a play on a ball that probably would have rolled foul to load the bases. Bases loaded. No outs. The Cubs then made one out and then the Mets were able to turn the game-ending, double play. It would have been a crushing game to lose and instead the Mets won in exciting fashion. Now the Mets look forward to taking the series behind Bartolo Colon.

Colon is 8-4 over 19 games and 18 starts logging 104.1 innings with a 3.11 ERA. In his last start, Colon allowed 3 runs, all unearned, over 5.2 innings while waking 2 with 4 strikeouts. He started July off with the Cubs where he held them to 2 ER over 6.0 innings while walking 3 and striking out 5. The Cubs have the following numbers against Bartolo:
